After bringing diaspora cuisine back to India with NRI (Not Really Indian) at Bandra Kurla Complex, Chef Atul Kochhar now brings to life the flavours of South America with LIMA, Mumbai's first South American lounge bar that opens adjacent to NRI. This is Chef Kochhar’s second opening in India in a short span of two months (he returns to cook in India after 22 years!)

"Am excited about LIMA. South American is one of my favourite cuisines but is so underexposed in India. Mexican, Brazilian and Peruvian food – cuisines that are extremely fashionable and now almost ubiquitous in London, will be a first for Mumbai. Each South American country has a unique cuisine that was shaped by its history, influences from Europe and other countries, local geography, and culture. The result is an exciting variety of flavours, colours and culinary traditions, that come together at LIMA", adds Chef Kochhar.

With LIMA, Chef Atul Kochhar once again draws on his world travels to present a cuisine richly influenced by an immigrant population. A strong believer in the policy of using local, seasonal and sustainable produce with a low carbon footprint, Chef Kochhar will be working with a local farm that will help him grow produce for LIMA.

Excellent food with some unique flavours. The lamb tacos are delicious. The fish ceviche is quite sour so some may not enjoy it. The chicken liver was a delight. The lamb gravy main with Mexican rice is a must have. Attentive service. Desserts could be better

Great Food great place a friendly and helpful staff and nice music not very loud and let's u talk are some of the nice things of this place...The food is the nicest of them all..We ordered lots n lots paid a bill of 10 grand..The Hot Nachos with guacamole and salsa the Pizzette both veg n chicken the crispy Chicken strips the chicken burritos all were excellent and are must have dishes and the lamb taco dish that we ordered was very very nice soft and flavourful lamb..Great experience will go back for sure

While South American food in India is by and large restricted to Mexican (or more accurately tex-mex), it is broader in range though there are similarities and goes extremely well with Indian tastes. In that context celebrity chef Atul Kochhar 's take on South American food Lima is a welcome addition to the Mumbai restaurant scene and the food was pretty much a hit.

DELICIOUS cocktails and great food made for a fun Saturday evening. The LIMA ceviche was outstanding and I'm going to go back for this. The chorizo tacos were very good, I personally didn't love the prawn tacos. Chicken in gochujang paste was a winner for me. The pork belly was deep fried with a chipotle mayo and even though it was perfectly cooked meat, I wouldn't order this again. The chicken burrito was a lot like a Kathi roll and we could've skipped this. All in all, great meal, expensive place but worth it. Pisco sours and ceviche for the win!.
